EY appoints Emmanuel Adekahlor as leader of Ghana business

EY has appointed a new country manager partner for its Ghana practice: Emmanuel Adekahlor.

Installed in his new role today, Emmanuel Adekahlor brings over 17 years of experience at EY to top seat. He currently works in EY’s Accra office, and previously spent years operating from the firm’s offices in the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Adekahlor joined EY in 2006 and steadily moved up the ranks within the Assurance division. He has extensive experience servicing clients across many sectors including financial services, telecoms, and consumer products.

Commenting on his appointment, Adekahlor said: “Being appointed to this role is humbling; and it’s an incredible opportunity to lead the organisation here in Ghana and make a positive impact on the lives of our employees and clients. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to the coming weeks as we reach out to our clients and the broader market.”

Adekahlor succeeds Ferdinand Gunn who retired from EY last month, having led the business since 2007, during this time helping the accounting and consulting firm book strong growth in the local market.

Globally, EY has teams in over 150 countries. The firm’s Ghana business celebrates its 25-year anniversary this year.
