HLB launches in Ethiopia with new member firm in Addis Ababa
Global accounting and advisory network HLB has strengthened its African presence with a new member firm in Ethiopia.
The new member firm is based in Addis Ababa and provides audit, assurance, tax, and advisory services to businesses and organizations. The firm supports clients across key Ethiopian industries, including manufacturing, non-profit, retail, real estate, construction, healthcare, and agriculture.
“Our understanding of these sectors allows us to provide tailored solutions that address specific industry challenges and opportunities, helping clients achieve compliance, efficiency, and growth in their respective fields,” said Desalegn Zewdie, managing partner of the new HLB Ethiopia.
For HLB, the addition gives it a presence in Ethiopia – Africa’s fifth-largest economy and one of the fastest growing.
Coco Liu, Chief Growth Officer at HLB International, said: “This expansion is a direct response to the clear economic momentum in Ethiopia. With its large, young workforce and position as a gateway to regional and global markets, Ethiopia is a pivotal market for our clients. Establishing a local presence with the team at HLB Ethiopia allows us to provide the on-the-ground support necessary for businesses to navigate this promising market.”
Headquartered in the UK, HLB is one of the largest independent advisory and accounting networks, with 52,000 professionals across 155 countries.
“Joining HLB is not just about global reach – it’s about local transformation,” said Zewdie. “We fuse audit, tax, investment, and scientific advisory expertise to deliver clarity and impact where it matters most: in Ethiopia’s fast-changing economy.”
