Mercer and Learning Organisation to collaboratively offer HR solutions in Ghana
Global health and wealth management consultancy Mercer has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Ghanaian human resources consultancy the Learning Organisation, through which it will market its data-informed HR management solutions across the Ghanaian market.
Learning Organisation is based in the capital city of Accra, and offers a wide variety of services in the HR domain, including support with strategic recruitment and selection, performance management, job evaluation, compensation & benefits, as well as training, development and motivational programmes for employees.
As Ghana makes its way into the list of the most prominent economies in Africa, the country has placed its emphasis on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as the drivers of economic growth. As a result, a number of HR consulting firms have engaged in training and development programmes with the aim of ensuring skill development amongst SMEs.
This is not Mercer’s first foray into the Ghanaian market. Early last year, the global HR consultancy announced that it had entered into a partnership with the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners (IHRMP) in Ghana, with the objective of offering integrated HR solutions to organisations in the country.
The new partnership with Learning Organisation allows for the combination of Mercer’s global network and expertise with the former’s local base of clients. Both firms will offer current and future clients the latest in data driven solutions in the domain of HR.
“We are excited to be partnering with such a strong and reputable player in Ghana, and the broad knowledge this new partnership will bring to the table to help Ghanaian organizations to thrive in HR management and workforce performance and create rewarding and more secure futures for their employees,” said Nicolette Hendricks, CEO of Mercer South Africa, commenting on the partnership.
CEO of the Learning Organisation Isaac Sackey said, “Our mission is to transform organisational performance through people development. As a recognised representative of Mercer in Ghana, we are well poised and committed to strengthening and expanding the provision of leading organisational solutions to all sectors in Ghana. This partnership further extends our capacity to meet demand and enhance bespoke change solutions to our valued clients.”
