With the aim of helping Kenyan firms to meet international standards of quality management, compliance software provider Effivity technologies has formed a partnership with Nairobi-based HESCO Consulting Services. The duo will leverage the mix of local and international infrastructure to disseminate Effivity’s trademark MyEasyISO software.

Founded in 2015 in New York, Effivity identifies itself as a technology solutions firm, offering software as a service (SaaS) and cloud computing solutions, among others. The firm has developed software plaforms for a number of domains, including customer relationship management (CRM), human resource management (HRM), construction management, production management and retail management.

However, the one area in which the firm has excelled significantly is compliance management, specifically in terms of ISO software. In a nutshell, ISO is an international standardisation body that was constituted in 1947 by representatives from 25 countries to simplify international industrial activity, primarily through the development of a common set of guidelines and standards.

The body offers certification to firms that comply with its standards, which has come to be widely recognised as a brand of legitimacy and adept quality management. ISO has developed more than 22,000 standards, including prominent ones in the quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) domains, which have come to be universally coveted.

In order to help clients meet ISO’s QHSE standards, Effivity has developed the MyEasyISO software, which allows organisations to implement, automate, and optimise their compliance efforts. The software extends across a range of ISO standards, and is best known for its support with ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 45001(occupational health), and ISO 14001 (environmental management).

Effivity + HESCO Consulting Services

The software has gained massive popularity, and is distributed across the world by Effivity, primarily by means of strategic partnerships with regional firms. So far, MyEasyISO has customers in 120 countries, the latest of which is Kenya, following the announcement of Effivity’s new partnership with local consulting firm HESCO Consulting Services.

Based in Nairobi, HESCO is primarily a compliance consulting firm, offering services in the post audit, process excellence, agribusiness, sales, and motivational speaking domains, alongside its compliance services. Within its compliance domain, the firm offers support with fire safety audits, risk assessment, environmental audits, energy audits, and ISO management systems implementation.

The last of these service-offerings will be leveraged by Effivity to distribute MyEasyISO across the Kenyan economy, which, despite being amongst the biggest in Africa, suffers from debt and compliance issues. Effivity will provide HESCO with operational support using its international infrastructure, including with key functions such as identifying target-markets, accumulating customers, implementing the software itself, and subsequently with maintenance efforts.

Commenting on the new partnership, Director of Technology at Effivity, D. Shanker said, “HESCO Consulting Services Limited will complement our business strategy for Nairobi and provide a greater value to our subscribers who can benefit from the QHSE expertise of HESCO Consulting Services Limited. Organisations from Kenya will also benefit from the best Quality Management System QMS Software and HSE software solutions from MyEasyISO with an enhanced regional presence and implementation support made available by HESCO Consulting Services Limited.”

Meanwhile, James Apamo, Lead Consultant at HESCO Consulting Services said, “ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 17025:2017 standards have immense potential in the region, and with MyEasyISO as our associate, I am sure we will be able to offer enhanced consulting, certification, training and ISO QHSE automation services in Kenya.”
