KPMG appoints Miguel Alvim as Country Managing Partner for Mozambique
KPMG, a global accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Miguel Alvim as its new Country Managing Partner for Mozambique.
Effective 1 October 2026, Alvim will lead the strategic direction, operations, and team of KPMG in Mozambique, which operates out of Maputo. He succeeds Quintino Cotão, who will retire at the end of September.
Alvim currently serves as Managing Partner for Advisory in Mozambique and brings nearly three decades of professional experience. Over the course of his career, he has advised both local and international clients operating in the country, with significant exposure across transport and logistics, industrials, oil & gas, energy, natural resources, banking, insurance, the public sector, and non-governmental organisations.
Earlier in his 23-year career at KPMG, he led the firm’s International Development Advisory Services practice for Southern Africa. He was appointed as partner in 2007.
